IN THE CITY - LONDON / PART SIX/ DOCTOR WHO

The Doctor Who Experience was just insane! I tell you that TARDIS is really bigger on the inside. Have seen entire collection of Doctors' outfits, escaped the Daleks (have hugged one too!) and seen drop dead gorgeous Davros.

Later on.
Yup. David Tennant staring straight into my Zenit.
Touched Doctor Who! Craziest evening ever.

IN THE CITY - LONDON / PART FIVE/ TATE MOD

South Kensington, my area.
Clyfford Still '1953'
Franz Kline 'Meryon',
obviously not as big as I expected, still intriguing, powerful and favourite however.
It was a real eye-pleasure to deal with it 'face to face', I could really feel the strenght and determination
beaming out of it.
I found it quite sad that people passed it by without even spotting it.

a bit of Warhol! 'Self-portrait'

So, when can I move in to Tate Modern?

IN THE CITY - LONDON / PART FOUR/ LOVELY CAMDEN TOWN

the most delicious fish&chips EVER eaten literally on the street as the sun was setting - unforgettable.

I only wish I could spend more time there, wander the streets and corners, people appear to be so open-minded and out-going and one can really feel bursts of creativity + smiles hitting from everywhere. I felt in the right place in the right time and world was not gettin on top of me then. Definately a place to visit next and every other year!

Tomaszewska bakes a pie

Well.
Let me introduce you to my very first somethingcalledpie - the cheery one!

It came out rather raw, I was probably too careful to not burn it in the oven.
Anyway it was eaten as you see!
The stuffing consisted of:
*frozen cheeries,
* whole lotta caster sugar,
*corn flour (though I replaced it with potatoe starch -> jelly),
*and lemon juice.

The pastry was a COMPLETE improvisation.

Here's the recipe : http://www.greatbritishpuddings.com/sweet-puddings-recipes/cherry-pie

And there's my second baby - Fruity Pie.
I made the stuffing out of EVERY fruit we had in the kitchen - apples, blackberries, lorikeets,
lemon, apricots, the same way as the cheery one, on the pan with sugar caster and starch.

Plus it was not raw as the previous one, the pastry had this wonderful gold colour and it smelled so tasty!

A little tip from me!
Half an hour after you have put your cake in the oven sprinkle it with milk.
It's gonna make the pastry have it's incredible golden colour and crispy surface.

Conclusion: Baking is not that nasty and challenging as I thought at first!
